Who is he?
Calvin Broadus aka Snoop Doggy Dogg. Snoop originally began recording homemade tapes with friend Warren G, who is the step brother of NWA icon Dr. Dre. Upon hearing Snoop's material, Dre collaborated with the rapper on his first album "The Chronic", and led to Snoop's own album "DoggyStyle" being the first debut album to enter the charts at number one in November 1993.

What did he do?
Allegedly, Snoop was arrested for selling crack cocaine. Cops caught him selling and cornered him. He had a bunch of crack in his pocket and knew that there was no way out, so he gave himself up.
