Who is he? Alphonse Pacino. aka Al Pacino. Actor most famous for role in Godfather trilogy.
What did he do? Alledgedly, police officers noticed a suspicious car and decided to stop it. Inside were Pacino and two other men - all wearing black masks and gloves. On further inspection, the trunk of the car contained a loaded .38 caliber pistol. They were then all booked.
When? January 7, 1961
Charged? Yep, for carrying a concealed weapon. Although they could have charged on the equally serious charge of having a dangerous quiff with intent to use.
Sentence? The men were set bail at $2001 but they could not pay it. Pacino was in jail for three days. It is unknown (to us anyway) whether Pacino was eventually prosecuted or convicted.
